Pilgrimage to Italy ~ 15th – 22nd October ’18

Ennis Parish, led by Fr Tom Hogan, will make a pilgrimage to Italy 15th – 22nd October.

They will fly from Dublin to Bari in the heel of Italy and spend the first three nights at the shrine of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo.

This is a very special year as it is the 50th anniversary of the death of Padre Pio and the 100th anniversary of the appearance of the stigmata, the wounds of Christ, on

Prayer for Preparation to Study

Lord, I know you are with me and love me.

Give me peace of mind as I prepare for this time of study.

Help me to focus on my books and notes,

keep me from all distractions so that I will make the best use

of this time that is available to me.

Give me insight that I might understand what I am studying ,

and help me to remember it when the time comes.

Above all, I thank you


All Clerics and Religious are Mandated persons.

The Children First Act 2015 places a legal obligation on them, to report child protection concerns to Tusla – Child and Family Agency.

These mandated persons must also assist Tusla, on request, in its assessment of child protection concerns about children who have been the subject of a mandated report

Clarecastle Tidy Towns

Clarecastle’s detailed 2018 application with 20 project updates, pictures, images and maps was submitted to Tidy Towns HQ, this week.

Volunteers are now needed to support light cleaning, weeding and painting projects.

Tidy Towns & Community Development personnel are now preparing a further €200,000 Grant Application under the Towns and Villages Renewal Scheme with support from Clare County Council’s  planning and engineering departments.

This ongoing support and continued additional funding from the Council’s executives are essential elements in completing streetscape
