Clarecastle Tidy Towns

Published on May 10, 2022

Clarecastle’s entry to the National tidy Towns Competition will be submitted shortly and this year we are back to normal with Adjudicators visiting Towns & Villages anytime after June weekend so lots to do to have Clarecastle looking its best  for the June weekend.

Special appeal for all Parishioners to play a proactive role during next few weeks and during the summer by ensuring your own area,  property and roadside is well maintained, neat and presentable.  Please contact any member of Clarecastle Tidy towns if you or a group you represent have any project that you feel should be included in this year’s competition.

The public realm enhancements have greatly improved the appearance of the Village and the open spaces .  However to capitalise on these improvements it is vital that the village streets , green areas and approach roads are litter free, please ensure your own area is litter free and road frontage kerbs are weed free

A Special appeal for young people to help out with the organised litter patrols in your own area or to contact Tidy Towns about Adopting  a small area to keep neat & Tidy.  The small group of volunteers do not have the resources to cover the entire village and urgently need more support over the next few weeks.  Great to see premises being painted at present and encourage others that intend painting this year to do so before the adjudicators arrive in Clarecastle.
