We have had a number of leadership groups over the years. In 2010, in response to diocesan pastoral planning, we created our first – or interim – Parish Pastoral Council.

A Parish Pastoral Council is a leadership group, concerned for the pastoral development of our parish.

Its members include a cross section of lay parishioners and our priest.

Our Vision or dream is this: “Clarecastle pastoral council, believing in and inspired by Jesus Christ, are committed to making our parish a place where each person feels welcome, accepted and valued. Together we strive to build up a dynamic, caring and Christian community that is characterised by faith, mission, worship and service.”

In practise, we believe that this will be achieved as we “promote a sense of welcome, belonging and harmony among parishioners by connecting with them and including them in the pastoral life of the parish.”
