The DIY SOS Big Build in Clarecastle, Co.Clare is just around the corner!

‘DIY SOS: The Big Build’ in Clarecastle starts on Tuesday 17th June!  Eircode: V95 HDH6

We would like as many people to come on Day 1 as possible!

We’re building a future-proof home for local boy Franek Barczak and his family.  We need as many volunteers & trades as possible to show at 08.00am on Tuesday 17th June, & on as many days as possible after that. The Registration team will sign you up when you arrive.  We’ll need help to help clear site, carry building materials, assist with catering, work on the build itself and so on.  Please bring tools & wheelbarrows if you have them.  This is a working site so please bring PPE (hard-hat, hi-vis, work boots). No PPE, no access to site.   There will be limited PPE available for non-professional tradespeople.  Trades need to bring safe-pass, CSCS card, abrasive wheels, tickets (scaffolding, plant etc) as required.

We will provide meals and refreshments, served by volunteers, on site… there’ll be lots of camaraderie and community spirit!

Please note:

 Parking for all volunteers will be in the Clarecastle GAA Club carpark, Eircode: V95 T275

There will be a traffic and parking plan in place, please look out for the DIYSOS signs and follow the stewards’ directions.  See attached Volunteer Site Information document.

Also, please car-pool / walk / take public transport where possible.
