Clarecastle Tidy Towns will hold our annual Church Gate collection this weekend May 18th 2025.  This collection supports the work and materials used to enhance our village.  Many thanks  to our community for its continued support.

Clarecastle Tidy Towns subitted Clarecastles entry for the national SuperValu Tidy Towns competition last weekend.  Sincere thanks to all the groups and organisations who helped with its preparation, which included projects across 8 categories of the competition.

Lots of work was done and still ongoing by so many groups, organisations, businesses and residents to ensure Clarecastle is looking its best for the adjudication.  It really is great to see the sense of pride in our Village and the environs and we offer a huge thanks to all who have helped in any way.

Adjudication will stat anytime from the start of June.  Clarecastle Tidy Towns have put a major effort into the Tidiness/Litter and Biodiversity/Climate Action related categories this year and we are asking all to assist with litter and eco-friendly week management over the next few weeks.  The group meet at the Church car park every Monday evening at 6.30pm for a weekly tidy up and we would encourage more volunteers to along and help out alternativly you can contact a member of Tidy Town if you can assist with a single task such as adopt a shrub bed or manage a litter patrol are or help with painting etc.
