Ceol an Chláir Concert

On Saturday, 21st April, Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan present “Ceol an Chláir” at Cois na hAbhna, Ennis, at 8pm.

This concert features some of County Clare’s finest musicians, such as Tim Collins, Denis Liddy, Mary Liddy, Mary MacNamara, Bríd O’ Donoghue, Damien O’ Reilly, Padraic O’ Reilly and Garry Shannon to name but a few.

Athlone Institute of Technology are conducting research into the health and wellbeing of Irish Centenarians and are looking for volunteers to take part.

Trócaire’s Lenten Campaign

We express our gratitude to all who have contributed to the Trócaire Lenten Appeal to date.  This appeal enables Tróciare to carry out its work in parts of the world experiencing severe need for human tragedy.  Our parish has always been very generous to this appeal each year.

The fund will remain open for contributors at parish level until Sunday 29th April. 

We encourage all who wish to make a contribution to return their contributions at weekend Masses or

Irish Community Rapid Response

Irish Community Rapid Response was established in 2008 to deliver professional pre hospital care directly to the site of medical emergencies throughout Ireland. Our volunteer doctors have made a significant difference while working in association with the National Ambulance Service when responding to 999/112 emergency calls.

Building on our experience and success we will provide Ireland’s first dedicated charity funded helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS). Based out of Cork Airport, Irish Community Air Ambulance will provide a vital lifesaving service,

Clarecastle & Ballyea Heritage & Wildlife Group  launches their 2nd book Land & People 2.

The book has something for everyone and is wonderfully illustrated, with rare and previously unpublished photographs of local interest to the Clarecastle & Ballyea areas as well as interesting original reflection on important cultural and historical events, organisations and family history.
