Clare Castle and Barracks Complex – history in our midst.

On Wednesday 13 May 2015, Dr Joe Power gave a talk on the history of Clare Castle and Barracks Complex to the Shannon Archaeological & Historical Society.

Mr. Gerry Halpin kindly invited those present at the talk to view the restoration work of the Barracks that he has been undertaking in recent years.

The photographs will testify to  the wonderful work that is ongoing and demonstrate the importance of these buildings in the heritage and history of Clarecastle.
